Saferoad Insurance Services (“Saferoad Insurance,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. It applies to information collected through our website at https://www.saferoadinsurance.com (the “Site”), by phone, by text message, by email, and in person in the course of providing insurance, DMV and vehicle registration, and tax preparation services.

By using our Site or services, or by providing us with your information, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Saferoad Insurance Services is an independent insurance agency located in Long Beach, California. We help individuals and businesses compare and obtain personal and commercial insurance coverage, and we also provide DMV and vehicle registration and tax preparation services. As an independent agency, we work with a network of third-party insurance carriers to find coverage that fits your needs.

2. Information We Collect

4. SMS / Text Messaging Program

If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages from Saferoad Insurance Services, we may send you SMS text messages related to the categories described below. Participation in our SMS program is always optional.

Consent. By opting in—whether through a form on our Site, in writing, verbally, or by texting us first—you agree to receive text messages from us at the mobile number you provide. Consent to receive marketing or promotional text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Types of messages. Depending on your consent, messages may include: quote follow-ups, policy and account notifications, billing and payment reminders, claims and servicing updates, appointment or document reminders, customer care responses, and occasional promotional or informational messages.

Opt-out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation message and will no longer send you SMS messages, except as needed to process your opt-out request. You may continue to receive non-SMS communications from us unless you opt out of those separately.

Carrier disclaimer. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile information and consent—no sharing for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except as needed to provide the messaging service itself (for example, with messaging platform providers that help us deliver the messages on our behalf). All other categories of information described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.


5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Insurance carriers and underwriters. As an independent agency, we share the information needed to obtain quotes, place coverage, and service your policies with the insurance carriers and underwriters we work with.

Service providers. We share information with third parties that perform services on our behalf, such as IT and hosting providers, payment processors, communications and messaging platforms, consumer reporting agencies, and professional advisors. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

Government and regulatory bodies. For DMV and vehicle registration and tax preparation services, we share information with the relevant government agencies as required to complete those transactions.

Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we believe it is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Saferoad Insurance Services, our clients, or others.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

As stated in Section 4, mobile opt-in information and SMS consent are excluded from the categories above and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Because we provide insurance and financial services, we are subject to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and related state privacy laws.
